Departments
A department represents a branch/location/structural unit of a partner. Departments are convenient when one partner has several addresses or places of work.
Where to find it
Departments are not a separate directory. They are maintained on the partner card: open a partner, go to the “Departments” tab, and use the “Department” button to add a new one.
Department card
A department card contains:
- ID — generated automatically;
- Name;
- Address, City, State, Postcode.
The partner is set automatically — a department always belongs to the partner whose card you created it from.
Use in documents
If a document allows selecting a department, the system may check consistency: the department must belong to the same partner as specified in the document.
If the selected department is cleared after changing the partner in the document, this is expected behavior to avoid errors.
